About Farrago
Words have always paved a way for us to win the world over. The stories that we have read, heard, and been a part of, have made us who we are today. From the rhythms of poetry to the tempo of speeches, from the flow of tales to the measures of pages, ideas are what shape us. And finally, where your ideas meet practice, where art meets colour , where the camera unites with expression; there from arises Farrago: the Literary Committee of AIIMS Bhubaneswar.
We, at Farrago, believe in weaving magic with words, spreading stories like stardust, and spreading love and compassion around like confetti.
So come, join us, in our beautiful adventure through tales, experiences and enthralling escapades.

In Act 1 Scene 3 of the play “Hamlet” by William Shakespeare, Polonius says to Laertes - “This above all: to thine own self be true, And it must follow, as the night the day, Thou canst not then be false to any man.” The cruxes of this poignant line by the Great Bard of Avon are the virtues of integrity, self-knowledge and dedication, and as the Literary Secretary, it is my utmost priority to uphold these virtues in the execution of my duties.
In our lives embroiled in the turmoil of the daily humdrum as students in healthcare, it is often literature that directly or indirectly offers a cathartic vent, be it in the form of the books we read, the stories we tell, the films we watch or the memories we recollect in solemn reverie. At Farrago, it is our aim to cultivate this spirit of literature, that of inclusivity, reflection and expression, through a host of events designed to cater to readers, writers, rhetoricians, quizzers, raconteurs and humorous wit-mongers alike. Because at the end of the day, literature is not only about words on a page, it is about forging connections between people, cultures, and perspectives.
I hope our term as Farrago 2025-26 is an enriching experience for everyone, regardless of whether you're a seasoned litterateur or just discovering the world of the belles-lettres. Let’s craft a literary journey worth remembering together.
